Digital Print Color Process Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional to oversee the color management process, ensuring consistent and accurate color reproduction throughout all stages of production. This role involves clear communication from design and production teams and is responsible for maintaining color accuracy and consistency across the digital printing workflow. Proven proficiency in the principles and best practices associated with color management. Monitor and ensuring high-quality standards, inspecting, and developing processes and outputs and maintain records.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Color Management Process
   Ensure consistent and accurate color reproduction across all production stages, from design to final print.
2. Collaborate with Design and Production Teams
   Facilitate clear communication between design, production, and quality teams to ensure color accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
3. Monitor and Maintain Color Accuracy
   Continuously monitor color performance across digital printing workflows, ensuring adherence to color standards and consistency across substrates.
4. Implement Best Practices in Color Management
   Apply industry best practices and proven methodologies to maintain optimal color consistency and quality throughout the production process. Keep up with the latest advancements in color management technologies and digital printing techniques to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
5. Inspect and Refine Processes and Outputs
   Regularly evaluate and improve color management workflows, ensuring that all prints meet the highest quality standards.
6. Troubleshoot and Resolve Color Issues
   Identify, diagnose, and resolve any color-related issues that arise during the production process, implementing corrective actions as needed.
7. Quality Standards and Documentation
   Inspect printed materials for color consistency and quality, ensuring they meet the required standards. Maintain accurate records of color settings, test results, and adjustments. Ensure that all printed materials adhere to established quality control procedures and color management standards and meet client specifications.
8. Training and Support
   Provide training and technical support to production staff on color management techniques, tools, and best practices.

Job Specifications:

• Proficient knowledge of Corel Draw, Adobe Suite, Photoshop, RIP, Print Factory
• Prior expertise with large-format print systems, flatbed UV-ink systems, along with prepress operations
• Proven experience in developing and implementing processes to maintain consistency
• Must have ability to read, understand and follow illustrations and other technical drawings
• Clear communication with Production, Design and Sales teams
• Provide support to Production, Design and Sales teams
• Eliminate costly overtures due to errors
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
• Manage time and set priorities for task
• Achieve above average Munsell Hue test classification, per procedure. ( Quality department has the Munsell hue test in the Extrusion Lab)
• Continually supports and adheres to the corporate values, vision, and mission statement of Inpro

 Job Relations:

• Reports directly to Signscape Plant Manager
• Works with all manufacturing / sales and design departments as needed

 Authority:

• Make decisions on accept or reject according to quality specifications and/or production capabilities
• Make logical decisions based on experience and/or company policy
• Support company policies and procedures
