The Account Manager uses strong customer relationships in the construction industry and effective project management skills to deliver projects on time and within budget to maximize sales results. This position will coordinate efforts with Outside Territory Sales Managers and divisional counter-parts for territory growth.
What will you do:
- Identify quality opportunities in pre-construction phase to get specification inclusion to ensure a high close ratio
- Practice sound project management skills throughout project to provide on-time delivery and within contract amount
- Be recognized as an industry resource and product expert through effective technical assistance and support, product recommendations and cross promotion
- Identify and develop relationships with all key decision makers related to a project opportunity to increase sales and close ratios
- Possess a thorough understanding of the architectural sales process
- Mindful consideration of Contribution Margin when pricing projects with an emphasis on being competitive to gain award
- Utilizing tools within Salesforce to effectively manage projects including multi-phased shipments and Change Orders to remain in contract
- Cross promote new products and all divisions
- Maximize efforts through effective use of the Sales Coordinator
- Focused communication and collaboration with Outside Territory Sales Managers to develop strong relationships with architects, designers, general contractors and sub-contractors to secure projects
- Identify competition knowing their respective strengths and weaknesses to gain a strategic advantage
- Effective and timely follow-up of bids, marketing leads and inquiries to increase sales volume
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and proficiency to minimize Returns and Allowances
- Continually supports and adheres to the Corporate Values, Vision and Mission Statement

Job Specifications:
- College degree preferred or proven track record of successful selling/project management
- Telesales on a business to business level desired
- Knowledge of construction process
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proficient use of time management skills and prioritization of tasks
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Excellent listening, discovery and closing skills
